Hoffman & Kessler Win at St. George Ironman

LEG LUBE: Once they got to the front, Ben Hoffman and Meredith Kessler stayed there and took the overall titles at the final Ironman-distance race in St. George yesterday, ensuring their names will remain in the history books. Kessler’s domination of the day started in the water. She was out of the water more than six minutes ahead of the next fastest woman and never looked back. The day was a nice comeback after her collapse last year at the 22-mile point of the marathon. Hoffman led off the bike and ran a solid 3:01 marathon to get across the line with a comfortable 18-minute buffer to runner-up Maik Twelsiek.
