Bracht & Bremer Win SunSmart Ironman Western Australia

Around 1,360 of the fittest professional and age group athletes lined up to start SunSmart Iroman Western Australia yesterday, ready to take on the 3.8km swim, 180km bike and 42.2km run all within a seventeen-hour time limit. Timo Bracht from Germany took the SunSmart Ironman Western Australia title, showing great form on the run. Bracht was followed by NSW youngster Clayton Fettell, who led for much of the race, while third place went to course record holder Jason Shortis. Michelle Bremer brought home the women’s title.
